Bord Bia promotes the range and breadth of Irish produce available in the UK. We focused attention on speciality food producers, highlighting the skill, care and dedication involved in producing fine artisan food and drink.
By leading from the top and communicating taste and quality credentials, journalists were able to 'discover' Ireland - The Food Island.
An intensive media relations campaign was implemented, comprising press trips, workshops on traditional culinary skills, media relations securing recipe spreads and product placement, competitions and reader offers.
Extensive coverage appeared in national broadsheet and tabloid papers, monthly glossy consumer titles as well as the regional press and county magazines. Product placement and tastings were also broadcast on BBC radio and Channel 5 Television.
