How has COVID-19 impacted the trends that vaneeghen are seeing? We sat down with them for a Q&A to find out.
What do you see as being the most important trends at the moment and have they been impacted by COVID-19?
As an Innovative ingredient supplier, vaneeghen will always continue to innovate and bring new concepts to the market. We are not only offering novel solutions for existing markets, like prenatal health, immunity and cognitive health, but also try to show new opportunities in growing markets like gaming and esports, which is one example of a market that continues to grow rapidly during the COVID-19 crisis.
What is really exciting you at the moment about your business?
It’s challenging to predict at this stage what will happen on the long term and what changes will stay or might be temporarily, but this also creates many opportunities and makes it a very exciting time to be in business. Apart from bringing innovation, we are working very hard to help our customer to keep up with the growing demand for certain products. Due to strong and long term relationships with both our suppliers and our customers we are working hard to do the ordinary extraordinary well.
What should people expect to see from you at Food Matters Live in October?
During this year’s show we will focus on three areas. First of all we have partnered with Dr. Alex Richardson to present the new science around lifelong cognitive benefits around Choline and DHA. The new science shows that higher intake of Choline during the third trimester results in life long cognitive benefits. Dr. Alex Richardson is speaking on Wednesday the 14th of October at 13:00. Secondly we highlight new concepts around cognitive performance, which we combine with the new fast growing market of esports. By using a combination of essential ingredients, new science and a novel application form, we believe this concept is ready to support new and existing businesses to enter the esport market. Finally, we have a range of immunity concepts which will support the growing need for new solutions during the COVID-19 crisis.
