As the UK’s largest food redistribution charity, FareShare has over 25 years’ experience in working with the food industry to help tackle food waste and fight food poverty across the UK.

By working with your organisation to unlock new or hard to reach surplus (or ‘waste’) food within the supply chain, FareShare then redistribute your good-to-eat surplus food to thousands of frontline charities across the UK.

With their Surplus with Purpose Fund, FareShare can help provide your organisation with up to £50,000 worth of funding to cover additional costs you may incur in redistribution, such as picking, packing and transport costs.

FareShare make it easy to divert surplus food and the Surplus with Purpose Fund aims to help make it even easier- working with you to reach your environmental objectives and decrease food waste within your operations, at little to no extra cost.

Help frontline charities tackling food poverty in communities across the UK, while also reducing your own food waste, with costs covered by the Surplus with Purpose Fund .

With over 500 food organisations diverting their surplus food with FareShare, thousands of charities and millions of people are supported every year with good to eat food.

“Food is critical,” says Sharon, who runs Feed the Hill, one of the community organisations receiving food from FareShare.  “Weekly food parcels are at the core of our offering, and allow us to reach people that would otherwise be missed.”

FareShare has seen demand for food drastically increase since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly among frontline organisations providing food parcels to struggling families. Since lockdown began the number of frontline organisations applying to receive food from FareShare has tripled.

Instead of sending food waste to landfill or Anaerobic Digestion, FareShare can help you to give your surplus purpose and help make a real difference to people’s lives, via the Surplus with Purpose Fund.
